Prospect Hill
RESIDENCE in Stockbridge, MA
In the heart of the Berkshires, this custom home takes its form from the region's covered bridges and agricultural barns, its triangulated architecture and exterior palette echoing the ridges and valleys of the surrounding mountains.
Alander's construction gave the simple, iconic form a strong, deliberate silhouette against the landscape, with openings cleanly defined to frame views like a series of paintings. Inside, the spaces move fluidly from room to room, keeping the scenery close and largely unobstructed.
